PaleyFest 2013 to Live Stream Several Popular Panels
PaleyFest is a 2-week long celebration of the best in scripted television. Since 1984, The Paley Center for Media has brought this festival to the industry and to fans, with panels featuring the creators and cast of some of TV’s most popular shows. The 30th anniversary of the event kicks off this weekend, and several of the panels this year will be streamed live on the Internet.
Thirteen of the panels will be streamed throughout the festival: Revolution, Once Upon A Time, The Newsroom, Community, The New Normal, Parenthood, The Mindy Project, Nashville, Arrow, Dallas, New Girl, 2 Broke Girls, and American Horror Story: Asylum. Two additional panels, The Walking Dead and The Big Bang Theory will not be streamed, but instead will be shown in select theaters across the country, thanks to Fathom Events.
The main website for the festival has a complete schedule, lists of who will be representing each show, and the link for seeing the streams. The website will also have red carpet arrival pictures before each panel. Additionally, for those who cannot watch live, each of the panels will be available on Hulu and Hulu Plus for viewing, the day after they occur.
If you’re not familiar with PaleyFest, you can see some of the panels from previous years on the website. If you are a fan of any of the shows being featured this year, I think it is well worth your time to watch as the moderators question the creators and your favorite stars on the plots, characters, and perhaps they will even tease a bit of what is to come.
