First Clip of Upcoming “Axe Cop” Cartoon Released
Earlier this year, it was announced that “Axe Cop,” the wonderfully hilarious comic from Ethan Nicolle and his (now) 7-year-old brother Malachai, will be part of a new Saturday night animation block from FOX. The first “Axe Cop” clip has been released, and it looks great so far.
If you think that Axe Cop’s voice in the clip is familiar, it is Nick Offerman, who portrays the character Ron Swanson on NBC’s “Parks and Recreation.” Offerman would be great casting, although nothing regarding official casting has been announced.
Now, this “Axe Cop” clip is just a test, from the folks behind “ADHD,” the new animation block. No guarantees that this segment will ever be used in the actual series, but if this clip is any indication, I think they are going in a positive direction with this show. Information from earlier this year was that six 15-minute episodes of “Axe Cop” were originally ordered for the show, which is planed to debut next summer. “ADHD” is set to be a 90-minute animation block that will compete against “Saturday Night Live.” In addition to airing on FOX, much of the animation seen in the series will also be available on the Internet.
